 HEARING AID MAINTAIN
Hearing aids are complex, miniaturing devices. If you take care of carefully, usesage time will be prolonged. These are some simple instructions to maintain hearing aids:

Don’t make the hearing aids get wet for example, swimming, rain or shower. If your hearing aids get wet, don’t try to dry it with microwave oven or hair drier… but take them to hearing aid center immediately.
- Always keep hearing aids in a safe, dry place and away from children reach.

If the sound of hearing aids is wrested or not clear, you should take them to readjust with the instruction if audiologist.

Hearing will impair gradually, so you should go to doctor to check yor ears at least two times per year. This is to assure that your hearing aids still fit your hearing.

Ear is one of sensorneural organ that is functional for hearing and balancing (three dimensional orientation). When one ear hears well (or hearing aid is used for that ear), the patient does not know exactly where sound comes from, that will cause danger or incorrect reaction. For example, when hearing a sound of an explosion, a shout for help, a trumpet… the patient will react incorrectly or have no reaction if the sound comes directly or hits into the ear with hearing impaired (or no hearing aid is used). The patient will not recognize clearly whether the sound comes in the right side or in the left side, ahead or behind, up or down… Therefore, when using hearing aids, we should use 2 hearing aids if hearing impaired happens with both our ears. At the same time, it had better to adjudge gain of both hearing aids so that the ear can receive sounds the same each other. |
